Kirk Parker
President
Kirk joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in 2026 as President of Berkley North Pacific.
He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with deep expertise in distribution management, strategic operations, P&L leadership, and accelerating profitable growth across distribution networks. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Regional President at a large national multi-line insurer. Kirk is passionate about building high-performance cultures and collaborating closely with agents to drive growth and deliver outstanding results for their clients.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Richard Yeoman, CIC, CRM, AU
Chief Underwriting Officer
Richard joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in September 2022 as Chief Underwriting Officer of Berkley North Pacific.
His experience spans more than 18 years in the industry with expertise in commercial lines underwriting and distribution. Prior to his tenure at Berkley North Pacific, Richard led a variety of commercial lines, personal lines and distribution organizations throughout the western United States. Richard is committed to driving meaningful relationships with our independent agents and brokers while managing the successful growth and profitability of the portfolio.
Richard received both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the University of Southampton, England and has obtained a number of insurance related designations.
Mike Rasmussen
Chief Claims Officer
Mike joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in October 2024 as Chief Claims Officer of Berkley North Pacific.
Mike has over 30 years of insurance experience and has expertise in leadership, claim operations, branding, and digital strategies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Mike has played significant roles in the industry, including his involvement with the Oregon Insurance Guarantee Association and NAMIC Claims Planning Committee.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics from George Fox College in Newberg, Oregon.
Sean Martin
VP, Sales & Marketing
Sean joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in October of 2025 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Berkley North Pacific.
Sean has over 25 years of property casualty insurance experience including claims, sales, distribution, agency experience, and training. He has served in senior roles throughout the US, most recently in the Pacific Northwest. Sean supports independent agents and brokers growth and finding ways to help them grow in an ever-changing landscape.
Sean received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Jeff Hockersmith, CPA
SVP, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer
Jeff joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in March 2013 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Berkley Southwest and joined Berkley North Pacific in May of 2023.
He has over 30 years of accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, controllership and operations related professional experience within the Property and Casualty insurance and reinsurance industry, including 6 years with a Big 4 public accounting firm performing financial statement audits which also included international experience.
Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant, and he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Nadine Schoep, PHR, AIM, AINS, AIS, CIIP, DAE
VP, Human Resources
Nadine is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage associates and establishing the culture at BNP, performance management, training and development, and management coaching.
Nadine joined W. R. Berkley Corporation in 1994 as a Human Resource Generalist. She has 25 years in the Insurance Industry where she has received designations of AIM, AIS, AINS, DAE, CLP, PHR, and CIIP.
